In an attempt to improve my game and to try out a different brand and shaft flex I decided to purchase a used Titleist 905r 10.5 degree with a stiff flex ys-6+ shaft and a Titleist 904F fairway 4 wood with a stiff flex ys-6+ shaft. Small investment ($110 or so for both shipped)to see how I hit a stiff flex and Titleist brand. I currently use TM 07 Burner 10.5 degree with Adila nv reg shaft and burner 3 wood with stock shaft. My instructor said that I would most likely benefit from a stiff flex now that I have learned how to properly swing a club. Anyone play either of the two Titleist clubs I bought? What can I expect without providing any details about my swing just in general. Goal is to trade in (giant loss) all of my drivers in the off season and move to new driver that actually suits my game and get this try to actually stick with it for a whole season(doubtful). What do you guys think? Thanks

The 905 is a few generations old (ca. 2006), but a good club.  I have a used a 905T with the Titleist version of the Fujikura Speeder in stiff for a couple of years and like it quite well-it is my newest club LOL.

I think the 905 series had a reputation of being not quite as forgiving as some, but very solid when hit well. Now forgiveness is relative, and they are more forgiving than anything I had at the time. Another quirk with the 905's is that not everyone can change the shaft--I think it has to be Titleist authorized or at least someone who has some specialized equipment. Fortunately for me I happened to like the shaft that was in mine.

Speaking of shafts, have you considered reshafting your Burner ?  I recently put some new life in an old Taylor 360Ti by having a new shaft installed.

I played both of those clubs until last year.  I played both in a X flex shaft.

Both were fantasic clubs and performed well. the reason I switched was to take advantage of some of the newer technologies of the 910 series and create a slightly lower ball flight with some new shafts.

I second the reshafting theTM clubs.  In my opinion the TM shafts are garbage.  My buddy loves his superfast after having it reshafted.

Thanks for the response guys. I could probably re-shaft the burner currently it has an Adila NV reg flex in it, better than what it came with imo. I will give the Titleist a few plays to see how it performs. Shorter shaft and stiff flex now, Adila NV is at 46in and the -6+ on the Titleist is 45in.
