Hi Jack,

Any chance you could reccomend a clubfitter in the NYC metro area?

I need to get all my clubs shortened, and lies flattened and have no idea whom to go to.

Also, I've been (well at least before the recent arrival of winter) driving out to the High Bridge Hills CG, just off 78 in your direction. Do you have any suggestions for courses to play? Keep in mind we have been trying to spend less than $40.00 per round.

My clubfitter is, unfortunately, down at the shore... just off exit 100 on the Parkway at Twin Brook Golf Center. Greg Rost, Club Doc, 732 668-5210. He's the best I've found. If you're in Manhattan, you might check at Chelsea Piers... they seem to have everthing else there.

I'm not much of a winter golfer, but if you made it out to High Bridge Hills, just keep going another 20 or so minutes west on 78 to Architects. You'll love it. Just posted a review of it here: http://thesandtrap.com/extras/course...ong_nj_review/

Neshanic Valley, a new county course a little closer than High Bridge has been getting good reviews, although I haven't played it yet. Closer still to you is Bergen Hills up closer to the GWB... great old Donald Ross course that's gone public and been refurbished. Monmouth County, again around Exit 98 or so, has a bunch of great public courses... Hominy Hill, Howell Park, Charleston Springs.
