I got new sticks and the grips are thinner then my last set.  I am not sure if it is good or bad at this point.

How will thicker or thinner grips effect the golf swing?

I can handle a little thicker grips, but nothing is worse to me than grabbing a club that has skinny grips.  ala...  .Regular size .600 core grip with only one wrap of double sided tape.

I regripped all of my clubs with Lamkin Oversize grips - feel so much more comfortable & seems to ease some of the hand pain I had from skinny factory grips.

If you have trouble with a pull or a hook then smaller grips could possibly magnify that. With a smaller grip it's easier to get your hand turned over too fast which can lead to closing the club face and hitting the dreaded pull hook. The larger the grip the less likely you'll turn that hand over too soon..

At least that's what I've heard from several people at my course and they seem very knowledgeable.
