To the OP - seriously what is the point of this thread other than talk trash which I keep hearing is an American thing? Like some others have posted here I don't hear anyone at my club talking about "this guy from Europe" or "that guy from America". It's always, "McIroy did this" or "Tiger did that." Fans of European players like the OP remind me of people with new money. Obsessed with the here and now.

that wasn't my point. i was assuming that the OP was referring to golf, which is why i posted those statistics. in golf (at least historically, albeit not of late) the united states seems to have an edge.

wholesale generalizations of a country are certainly the point of this thread.
