Looking for advice on Wedges

Yeah I don't know what to do, its only $44 for a CG14 black pearl on 3balls.com in very good condition but I am worried about the grooves.

The old callaway x-forged wedges with Mack Daddy (MD) groves.  Just yesterday i saw this on golfwrx.

The MD groves were middle of the pack for spin when hit from the fairway but they had BY FAR the most spin from the rough.

I could go either way. I read an article a couple of years ago about tests on the new "CC" grooves. If I remember right, it said you probably wouldn't notice much of a difference between the 2010 and new CC grooves if you had a driver swing speed of less than 97 (??) mph. And, the spin difference would show up mostly out of the rough.

A note on the black gel "CC" CG14s: These only seem to come in about half the loft-lie varieties as the original CG14s.

I already have three gold gel CG14s in my bag; so if I change my mix, I'd try to stay with gold just for uniform look in my bag.

Thanks guys for all the input! I think first I need to go take a look at all of these clubs and try hitting them.  From what we have talked about I do have a couple of favourites now in mind that I’ll probably narrow it down to and then see which one feels better for me.  I’m also going to consider replacing my PW with an  Eidolon wedge down the road .
