yea most people say from their experience its only affected out of the rough but how do you feel about picking one up to replace your current wedges? Will you look for wedges with the old grooves? If you had to replace your wedges right now, would you buy conforming?

Yes, I would.

The reason why I ask is because when you playing your buddy and your both over in the rough with no green to work with, where he has a wedge with old grooves but you recently just upgraded to new conforming wedges your at a disadvantage, right. So next time you are shopping for new wedges say next year are you going to look for old groove wedges?

The question is "Would I buy wedges with conforming grooves?" I said that I would. It didn't say would you go out of your way to find them, only if you would buy them. In a couple of years you will have to go out of your way to find the old grooves. It really doesn't matter to me.

Wrong. Unless you have the swing speed and the ball striking ability of a top pro, you will never know the difference. As it has been for the last couple of years, this is a non issue for the typical amateur golfer.

I understand that the manufacturers can't make the old grooves after this year
BUTTTTTTT!!!! I'd be willing to bet that the golf shops are going to put in several years worth of inventory. Nonetheless, I've already backed up my wedges and they are hidden in my coat closet.

The reason I asked was that motteler621 had asked 2 question in his post, "Will you look for wedges with the old grooves?" and, "If you had to replace your wedges right now, would you buy conforming?" I just wasn't sure which question you were answering... Thanks for clarifying.
