I've searched this forum and google just to see if this has been talked about and no luck... Is it possible to turn your torso too fast on the back swing and down swing as long as you keep a straight leading arm and hold the flying wedge?

Yes, it's possible. Path goes left.

I used to play baseball and really used to over fire my hips. It would lead to an outside in swing path. Instead you should slide you hips smoothly and for as long as time possible throughout your swing. (Not fast as possible, as long as possible)

Yes, it is definitely possible. I have that problem when I get tired or am having a rough day.

When I am swinging correctly I actually feel as though my arms and hands are moving through the ball before my hips ever start to move on the downswing. In reality, that is far from the truth but that is the feeling that I need because my hips will naturally outpace my arms so fast.

Tiger has that same problem at times as well (or at least has in some incarnations of his swing).

I guess the reason I ask is because I have been swinging with all arms/hands and then flipping... But now that I am trying to turn back and through it seems super fast, but it seems to allow my hands to come into the ball first. I took a couple videos and although it seems like I am turning back and through as fast as possible, it actually looks the same speed as when I was swinging with all arms. This probably makes no sense, but the faster I try to turn my shoulders back and through the more I'm able to bring my hands into the ball first and hold the flying wedge...
