I cant hit any woods off the tee, even my long irons are a crap shoot. I am not sure what changes and is killing my shots but for the first time in my life I almost walked off of a golf course. I hit my 7-pw pretty good,5-6 decent then it all goes to hell. I am going to a golf pro otherwise I may quit, break a club, or take up drugs...

I am hooking the dog mess out of them and they come out very low.

I will give the half swings a shot. I am not sure what I am doing but not getting off the tee may be the most frustrating thing I have ever done in this game hehe

jack nicklaus advocated one basic golf swing.  like the previous poster said, just swing your driver the same way you swing your 7i.  if you're hitting your 7i through PW fine, then you can hit your other clubs just fine as well.  check this clip out:

I have been having this same issue. In fact I actually did walk off of the course a few days ago after losing 10 balls off the tee on the first 4 holes yikes (5 pro vs before i decided I should quit hitting pro vs ). I haven't been back out yet but I was hitting them on the driving range yesterday beautifully by focusing on taking 3/4 swings and interestingly I was hitting the ball just as far as when I take full swings

    • That's a tough pin on 14 at TR, had to make the hole play much longer, how far was that shot? I've only played that hole with a front pin.
    • No, but I spent (marginally) less time in the trees at Southern Pines, so it definitely played wider for me 😆. It definitely felt wider.
    • Have you measured? 🙂
    • I'm bad about taking pictures, but here are a few Hole 1 on Duke, looking toward the green. The elevated green with bunkers surrounding it was a theme. The other theme was pin placements that were tough - this one is pretty far left. There were basically no easy pins on this day.     Hole 3 at Pine Needles. An extremely cool hole. Hole 5 at Pine Needles. The picture doesn't do the green site justice. Green of 6 at Southern Pines. A wild green, and a really cool setting at the edge of the property: Hole  Tee shot on 5 at Tobacco Road. Flag is on the flag, the huge fairway is to the right. Hole 8 at Tobacco Road. Downhill, medium length par 3 with this pin in the front part of the green. Really cool looking shot. A look at the pin placement and cottage on Tobacco Road 14. I hit one of my best shots of the trip here, to about 15 feet.
    • Yes, but season 2 being all of six episodes is a bit of a let-down, even if the season itself wasn't.
