So I decided not to throw my clubs into a lake and get back on to the course. Concentrated more on my swing and making sure the proper weight distribution through out the swing etc. I am a lefty so now instead of spraying the ball all over the place the ball stars off about 10 yards right to where I was aiming and then it comes back straight. Did I just control my slice some what better or is the ball now fading on me? I made sure my feet were square to try and it it straight. I honestly have no problem with this other than the one hole where trees were real close to the right of the fairway and I couldnt cut it close enough with it the ball going into the woods. Would switching the weights in my R11 fix anything? It is currently set at stock settings with a stift shaft and 9 degree loft.

You are most likely swinging over the top, and your clubface is a bit closed at impact which starts the ball out to the right. That's not a fade, it's a slice. I doubt switching weight on your clubs would change too much.

It's up to you if you want to live with this but this type of swing will be very difficult to control in the long term. You're much better off trying to learn how to stay on plane.

I don't want to have to settle for this swing. I have noticed when I do get a hold of one dead straight that I gain another 20-30 yards on my drive. Any ways to practice staying on a place? I have tried the inward to outward swing and this is what it produced. My old swing had the ball starting dead center then taking off slicing right. I am going to have to take a video of both the swing mentioned. I also switched from an overlap grip to baseball grip with the thumb wrapped around the shaft. (Only way to prevent the wicked slice) Any thing to Possibly practice before I start lessons?
