mp60's vs. mp30's

Thinking about buying mp 60's or the 30's anyone have any thoughts? Any help would be appreciated.

If it is not an issue of money, I would highly recommend the MP-60's do a quick search on the forum and you will understand why.

MP-60's are the 'in' club. I know a number of people that bought them a year ago and only the 3 index still has them in his bag. Everyone loves the 6,7,8,9,W but for the 10-15 index guy the overall feeling was that they lost distance with their 3,4,5 irons.
Myself and two others bought the MP-30's and had zero complaints. The two others guys still have the 30's in their bags and I lost mine to my son (plays HS golf and wanted and upgrade from his Clevelands)... and I wanted to try the new Rifle Project X Flighted shafts... so I had to make a set of KZG Evolutions for myself.

Both great clubs but if I had the choice I would go for MP60. Soft as butter~~

that is a great point. the 60's are harder to hit with the longer irons. If you are interested in the 60's, you can always cut up a set. depending on how well you hit long irons, you can vary the make-up. I got the 5-6 in the MX-25's and 7-P in the MP-60's, then I fill in hybrid for a 4I.

mizuno will make up any set you want with any clubs you want with any shaft they have, you just have to ask.

I have 30's and love them. I have been tempted by the 60's but keep hearing they hit the ball HIGHER. I do not want to hit the ball higher. Out here trajectory is important to stay under the wind.

Can't really go wrong with either, but there is a reason 30's are a signature product from Mizuno despite being several model seasons old.

You will be very happy with Mizunos.

I hit the MP 30,32,60 and 67(by accident), and the titleist 695 CB, 704, 735, 755, 775 and 804 yesterday.


I narrowed it down to the 60s and the 695 CBs. I hit my irons pretty high, not very far. 100 mph driver speed.

I hit the clubs at two different places, one indoor and then one on a range. Inside, the MP60s were the best feeling ones i hit, they felt like butter. I didnt like the ball flight and was more impressed with the titleist's and will be going with the 695 CB.

If i was hitting blindfolded, id go with the 60, but i guess the trajectory on the 695 was better suited for my game. The 30's felt nice too, but I like to punish myself for bad shots. I dont think you could go wrong with either.

The 60s and the 695.CB are very silimar but I too would go with the 695.CBs if you are looking at a good cavity back.

I am not sure if you are looking for forgiveness, feel, control or a combination of all them. I am in the market too, I currently play TM LTs with a 6.0 rifle and after all the hitting of new clubs I pulled the trigger on MP-67 /w 5.5 ProjectX.

The 60s didn't feel all that much different then my LTs and the 695.CB I hit really well one day but not another, this went back and forth a few times and I chalked it up to them being still too forgiving for me. When I don't hit a good shot with the 67s I knew it by how the club felt in my hands, when I hit it well I could tell the difference and that is one of the main reasons why I am upgrading my irons in the first place. I want to feel bad shots as much as good shots.

I am leaning towards Mizuno's for my next set. I am currently playing a friends old set of MP-33's. I am not good enough to hit them consistent every shot, but still manage to shoot around 90. My main issue is driving though, so I am wondering if the MP-60's will offer me a little more forgiveness? I really enjoy the setup, look, and feel of the Mizuno's.

I once was around a 10 index, and I am wanting to work back down...can I handle the 60's?

I just wanted to say Hello, I am new to the forums. Anyways, I am in the market of buying new Irons.....they lost my clubs in a warehouse, long story. I bought a Cleveland Comp, Stiff Shaft 460cc and a Titleist 904, 15 degree stiff shaft as well.

Now I can buy any set of irons I want, I tried some callaway / cleveland they were alright. I have always been turned on by the Ben Hogan's and Mizuno MP 60s, but what do you guys feel about the 60's and 30's ...as far as feel and weight....
