I have been looking for the right putter for the last few years. I have always had a difficult time figuring out what fits and what feels right. I have always had the mind set that no matter what club or putter I have, what if there is one out there that is a better fit. How do you know unless you try them all on the course, under pressure etc.

In my search I have bought 2 and struggle with the choice of which one to keep in my bag. Or just move on to finding a new one

My putters are:

1) Odyssey white steel #1, 34" regular stock grip

2) Cleveland Classic #1, 34" Mid sized Winn Grip.

The odyssey feels lighter, better weighted, but is much more firm. (prefer softer)

The Cleveland feels heavier in the blade, a bit bulkier but is soo much softer on the face.

I replaced the Odyssey with the Cleveland because I was over hitting the ball. I have had some success with the cleveland. However any success is most likely the craftsman and not the tools.

In a perfect world I would like to combine both the lightness and softness.

So my questions are:

Can anyone reccommend a good putter that is not bulky, not heavy, has a soft feel?

When confronted with a choice of 2 putters, each of which has its own set of pros and cons, how do you choose the right one?

And does the search ever end?
