not sure i worded that correctly,i have a fairlystrong grip vs pointing off right shoulder read an article telling me when i drop the club down from the inside that the back of my left hand should face the sky and the palm of my right also should face the sky and as i rotate thru the clubface will automaticaly square up am i overthinking or is this a solid bit of advice

Having the back of the left hand and palm of the right facing the sky would be a pitch shot procedure to engage the bounce.

"Square" at impact is not really an option, and we don't need to consciously rotate the hands, that would actually encourage a slice

I would advise trying to feel more like this to hit it solid, these balls drew without having to add any rotation to square it up.  Want the clubface to be aimed right of the target at impact and have the path more out to the right by having the weight forward and hands forward.
