Hey All,

So I have been fortunate enough to spend a fair amount of time hitting balls on an AboutGolf simulator this winter.  i am generally alot happier with my ball flight most of the time.  My question is around the differences of what the sim calls a push, a push draw and a draw.  many times the swing feels the same and the ball flight is generally starting right and drawing ever so slightly.  I can obviously see a straight push...it starts right and keeps right...but what swing difference can make a push into a push-draw or draw?  I am not feeling the difference in most cases.

thanks.

I can't speak to the AboutGolf simulator, though I have hit on them in the past. I imagine it calls a "push" a ball that starts right and doesn't curve much, a ball that starts right and draws but maybe not enough a "push draw" and a ball that starts right or straight and curves left a "draw."

I personally use the terms push and pull to describe relative to a neutral stance (alignment). If it's right of your alignment, it's a push, and left is a pull. The curvature of the ball is the second word then, if there is curvature. Someone like Jesper Parnevik who plays a "pull-draw" using my definitions (which are fairly common, so I don't really mean "my" definitions, just the ones I use) because he aims his stance well right of the target, pulls it back less right of the target, and draws it the rest of the way to the target.
