I'm not very good with my 4i and thinking to remove it from my bag to make room for another wedge. To cover the distance gap, I'm thinking to choke down 2 inches on my 3 hybrid. Has anyone here tried to choke down a 3 hybrid to replace a 4 iron with good success and accuracy? Many thanks

I frequently choke-down and inch or two on clubs to hit my in between yardages. You should have no problem choking down on a 3 hybrid to hit it a 4 iron distance.

Hybrid can give you lots of different shots, so choking up to give you 4 iron distance should work well. They are very versatile, which is a big part of their usefulness. Should work. I carry a 22 degree as a 3 iron replacement, typically 10 - 12 yards further than my 4 iron, but will often choke up and hit the hybrid unless conditions are right for the 4 iron.
