I am just recently coming off a broken arm that happened in March, and getting back into the "swing" of things. During my recovery, I was unable to take a full swing, so I played A LOT with my putter and wedges. I practiced a lot of putting and half swing chipping with Cleveland Black Pearl Wedges. Now....I am able to take a full swing and ready to get back to playing golf. I have Ping I5's and they seem really light now. Is it a head thing? I am so used to the weight of my wedges and I like that heavy feel so I know where the club head will be on contact. Now, I swing with my Ping's and I have no idea where the club head will be on contact...it weird. I hit the MP-60's the other day on a simulator an I liked the feel of them and the weight. Im about a 10 handicap or so. Any input is appreciated.

For maximum forgiveness, the top-selling
G5 or Rapture irons provide game-improvement features across the board, including larger club heads and wider soles. In the i5 model (mid-sized head, reduced offset) PING engineers achieved a balance of forgiveness and playability. If you prefer the look and feel of a traditional blade, the new S58 model raises the players' club category to a new level.

So the I5's are a mixture of both as it states? Im not a fan of the S58's though. I tried them once and didn't like the feel of em. Maybe this is all in my head and I should play with the I5's a bit more throughout the season to decide.

i have the same issue as you, i have a set of i5's and for the wedges i have the cg10's. im the opposite of you however i don't like the d6 swing sweight of my wedges and prefer the lighter weight in my i5's.

but with the i5's you can actually send them back to ping to get the swing weight adjusted with the weight that ping uses in the back.
