Taylormade Rac HT, Rac OS, and Nike Slingshot OSS. Which ones?

I have the oppurtunity to upgrade to any of these specific irons, and I'm not sure which ones to go with.

Specs:

Pre owned Taylormade RAC HT "very good" condition, graphite shafts, 3-pw.

Pre owned Taylormade RAC OS "very good" condition, steel shafts, 2-pw.

Pre owned Nike Slingshot OSS "very good" condition, steel shafts, 4-aw.

A little bit about my game, I am a really large handicap, but I have never calculated it. Shoots around 100-105 on a decently difficult course, but I am rapidly improving, because I have only been playing for a little over a year. As the season is just starting, I am joining the golf team. I have been taking lessons with the coach, and my equipment is simply put; inadequate. (besides my mx-700 mizuno driver, and possibly my sand wedge, which is a zevo) So an iron set is the first step. I have a pretty decent swing speed, if I am remembering correctly, the monitor at golfsmith said around 98-101 when I went after it pretty hard, but not all out.

So what are all the advantages, disadvantages, specs, all that stuff on these sets? Please specify if the information you are using is personal experience, research, or a friends personal experience, or anything else. Both the taylormade sets are the same price, and the nike set is slightly more expensive, but really nothing serious. If they are the best for me, don't even think twice about the price. Also a woman at an Adams demo day said I would never need graphite shafts, since I am decently strong and young, and I have a high swing speed. Is this true? If they are the same price, should I go with the graphite?

i play the RAC os irons. they are great. those are irons that you can play for a long time. i started playing them when i was around a 20 handicap or so, and i am now an 11.8 and looking for a new set. they are great. forgiving enough to play with, but once you get better you can work the ball a little with them. i love them

the slingshots are heavy and clunky. ive never been a fan of nike golf stuff. thats just personal with me though. plus, they are more of a hybrid iron. once you start getting better, you will start to balloon the ball with the slingshots. if i were you, id stay away from those, but its personal. if you hit with em and like em....go for it. lol.

you wont need graphite, again, as you get better, swinging graphite will start to feel like swinging a rope with a club head on the end of it. haha!

Ok yeah that helps, thanks man. Whats the feel like on the OS's? Also how does it feel when you hit something thin or off center? And whats your opinion on the forgiveness on them?

Also adding these irons to the mix: Nike VR full cavity irons, Callaway X-18 pro series irons, and Nickent 4DX CB irons. Post if you have any opinions on any of these clubs!

the OS are forgiving. you can feel when you hit them off center, but the ball still goes straight for the most part. if you really hit one off the toe or heel they go off line, but thats any iron really. thin shots feel like thin shots. lol. feel kinda hard and you can feel it in your hands a bit. if you just kinda bottom groove it, you can feel it, but its not bad at all.

im a bad person to ask about nike golf. lol. the only stuff i like from them is their clothes and bags. lol. ive never hit the VR irons, so i dont have a full opinion on those, so maybe someone who has hit those can help out....

i hit the callaway x18s, but not the tours. they were pretty smooth. i like callaway wedges and long clubs, but if you dont get the tour models, alot of their irons are closed a degree and that throws me off.lol.

id go for either the os or the x18s personally.....the os just cause im biased towards them. haha!
