A lot of good things being said about the Mizuno MP59...although I'm not sure if that qualifies as a "players iron" or not.

Erm... World Number 1 uses them. lol

If you're looking for a new set of irons I'd personally recommend going for a fitting at a reputable place and finding out what shaft best suits your game first and then choosing irons based on which you hit best with the required shaft.

My Mizuno DNA fitting was absolutely amazing and I'd highly recommend it, even if it's no longer free (cost I believe is $50 or about half a club's value).

SWING DNA

Erm . . . he didn't get there using them and just lost in round 1 at the Match Play - an event he dominated last year. Of course that means nothing as these are clearly players irons, but it will be interesting to see where Luke ends up by season's end with his new sticks.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

Yeah yeah I know he screwed-up first time out with them.

The point is still valid though; if they weren't "player's irons" he wouldn't be using them.
