Quick Run Down:

28 Male, best round was 103. Started playing golf for the first time in June of last year. Played about 20 rounds of golf or so. I have no Idea what these numbers and stats mean. I am looking to see what is good and what is bad about the picture below and any tips to get the numbers and stats to where they are optimal.Sorry for the quality as I took it with my Iphone. I will type out anything that was cut off below the picture.

I use a 9.5 degree, Taylormade Burner 2.0 Stiff. I am left handed.

Sim Stats

Launch angle: 10 degrees

Ball Speed: 174.21 mph

Ball Path: Right 4 degrees

Club Path: Inside Out 1.0 degree

Club Face: Open 0.5 degree

Carry: 286yards

Bouce: 9 yards

Roll: 13 feet 3"

Total Distance: 299 yards

Offline: 15.53 yards

and I ended up in the rough by a few yards.

I'm not sure the simulator or launch monitor is very accurate. I'm also not sure it was set for a lefty.

If the clubface is open 0.5 degrees that's 0.5 degrees left.

If the path is inside out 1 degree that's 1 degree left.

Yet the "ball path" is 4 degrees right? Is that the initial launch direction or the angle from where the ball finished back to the tee? It's to the RIGHT, when the other measurements are LEFT.

And even if it was 0.5/1 to the right because it gave those numbers for a righty, you'd get a righty push-draw or a lefty pull-cut, so the ball would finish pretty close to online.

That 4 degrees number is screwy, but the others are as well.

What's good is you've been introduced to modern day technology in our game.

What's bad is you've been introduced to modern day technology in our game, a little too soon.

I would get out on to the golf course a little more and learn to hit a few balls around the course. When you get down to about scratch then these figures will become a little more important. Enjoy the game for what it is and leave these modern day simulators with the technicians who enjoy playing with them. Keep it simple, that's my opinion.
