My putting is not my best at the moment I know it is still early in the year. However last week I shot a 78, this week I shot a 77. However I had 35 putts both weeks. I want to get it down to like 30. All my putts have an arc like they are being pulled. Are their any drills I can do or any suggestions. To have a straight line for a putt. I try straight back with my mallet, I try arc with my scotty. Please help me. thanks

You can't say that you want to get your putting down to a particular number, like 30.

The day you have 24 or 26 putts is the day you play your irons poorly and chip well.

Some of yoir best days will be the days you have 36 putts becuase you hit lots of greens but don't hit many close.

There are dozens of drills to improve putting.

Do a search.

You might be better to choose one style and stick with it.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I went and putted today for two hours and I am going to focus a lot of my time on this now. However what I have noticed is, within 4ft my putt are perfectly straight. I had two tees set up and I was just trying to make sure to put through them. However the ball around 5 ft tends to go left or right. Is this because something is wrong on my follow through? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also, how many of you have custom fit putters. I was thinking about doing this.

It sounds like you're altering the direction of the face the further you try to hit the putt. I like to try and have my tempo stay the same for all distance putts, but with just a longer backswing and follow through.
