Hey all!  Spent most of my life as a uninformed player.  I had no idea how to swing a club (thrust and flip with the hands).  Last year at this time I took some lessons and now everything has changed.  Wow, the feel of a well hit shot right on target...love it.  So now I see improvement not only in scoring, but in control of the round.  Before I felt like I was chasing the ball, now I feel like I am commanding it...not always the result I want, but I know what the the ideal is.  Before, I lost balls all the time, now I might plunk one in the drink on occasion, but its the result of a decision to try a shot, not because my swing is random.

I play the majority of the time at Reston National in Reston, VA where I have the Player Development Program card, so I have range privileges and since I drive right by on my commute I have been using them.  I also get in one or two 9-hole rounds a week in the evening.  Walking nine in the evening is a great way to relax after a day at work.

Why do they call golf "golf"?  Because all the other four letter words were taken.
