I'm plenty grounded in reality. The geometry, the physics, etc. are the same for everyone. In fact a lot of people will tell you that working with a PGA Tour player is easier (often they have only tweaks, rather than 17 things going on, and they're often more self aware and able to make the changes more quickly). But if you just want to be rude, by all means, carry on.

Conversely, there are PGA Professionals and golf coaches who have been in their respective fields for years that still, to this day, get basic information completely incorrect (i.e. ball flight laws and many other things).

So your point is pretty much irrelevant because it's entirely possible for someone to "be doing something for a shorter period of time" but comes armed with WAY better and more useful information that can be applied to anyone, including PGA Tour pros.

Furyk actually has a coach, his father, and they have made some tweeks through the years.  He's there at most tournaments going through Jim's checklist.  It's ridiculous to think a capable instructor couldn't help Bubba become even better.  When Bubba's on he's great, when he's off he misses cuts.  I'm not talking about changing his swing but making sure that he knows why/how certain shots occur and how to adjust.

He seems to be doing better than most guys on tour lately. I'm almost positive that given the choice between 1.) never missing a cut and 2.) alternating between missed cuts and wins, he'd take the latter.

Agree that #2 is better than option #1 but you can always get better.  I'm not saying he needs any help but he might need to make adjustments to win a US Open.

If you think that you"know the physics, the geometry,etc, are the same for everybody" then you hope to apply those pearls of wisdom to the way Furyk swings the club. Then I reckon Furyk would run a mile.
