I just recently started playing golf more frequently. The clubs I got last year were Acuitys because I didnt want to spend the money in case I didnt enjoy playing or if I broke something.

I have upgraded to a Cobra S3 driver which I hit better than the racketballz and the AMP in testing.

Next I am looking for some irons at a decent price under $400 would be nice. Any suggestions? Keep in mind I am not that good, but really enjoying the game.

Thanks.

Well in your price range what comes to mind is Taylormade Burners 2.0.  They might be a little bit higher but aren't a bad club for beginners.  You can also check out used clubs Callaway preowend is an excellent site, look for something in the big bertha line either the 2008 or 2006 model.

If you can get the ball up OK and have moderate swing speed, consider the Callaway X20 model. It's an SGI model with good perimeter weighting and cavity back. The stock shaft is the Uniflex, which falls between R and S in flex. The shaft is mid kickpoint, so it's less likely to balloon the ball on short iron shots.

(This was a problem I had when testing Big Berthas and Ping G10 irons, ball went too high.)

Focus, connect and follow through!
