Like a few others I enjoy archery and bowhunting.  I also like to ride my road bike, fish a little, spend time with my kids.  This spring I went to a buddys house to check out his maple syrup operation.  I thought that was pretty neat.  I plan on trying to build a sap boiling stove, and doing it myself next spring.

Music:  Still play guitar and sing in a hippie 60s show band.  Gig season starts next week and runs through October.  We'll probably do 15-16 shows this year.  Money from gigs subsidizes next hobby:

Photography:  Started shooting HS sports about 6 years ago and have branched into other areas of interest.  Current gear includes a Canon 5D2 body and several nice lenses.  Shot HS senior pics, love festival type shooting and like to shoot 'small town America' while visiting other towns.

MLB:  Love baseball and going to games.

Hey, I already started this topic.

I'll add to my list. I just got a couple lever action rifles and plan to start hunting. My wife has always been kind of anti-hunting, but she is even more anti big cattle/meat industry (how animals are treated and slaughtered, hormones, antibiotics, etc), so she is now receptive to my getting some natural food. Doesn't get more organic than that!

I know this feeling. My dad was a huge hunter. We never had to buy meat when we went to the grocery store. Downstairs chest freezer was always stuffed with duck, geese, venison, wild turkey, and fresh fish. He passed away a few years ago though, and now I've been considering getting back into hunting to get my hands on the good stuff again.

My apologies for not catching that!

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
