Hey everyone,

As some of you know I have been looking for a new driver.

I have narrowed it down to a cobra s3, nike VR str8 fit, and adams 9064ls DFS.

As of right now I am leaning toward the Adams as all the reviews of these have been about the same but the Adams has been reffered to as "crazy long" quite a few times and this is definitely appealing.

Which would you guys choose?

I am going to see if any range nearby has some to demo, but as they aren't the newest versions I may not be able to find one to try.

Thanks,

Sebastian

I have the 9064LS, the standard version, and I love it. I didn't care too much for the DFS, the sound threw me off and it didn't seem to perform as well as the glued version for me. I'd recommend that first and foremost. Easy to hit, very long, and has a great stock shaft.

of those that you've narrowed it down to, the 9064 is the lowest spinning and deepest designed head

Hit them all if you can.  The head isn't nearly as important as the shaft in each driver, and which shaft best "fits" your swing.  All of the major manufacturers make good heads.  Finding the right shaft is more important than finding the right head IMO.

What's in the Bag:
Driver: Taylormade SLDR 12*
3-wood: Taylormade Burner 15*
Hybrid: Taylormade Burner 19*
Irons: Callaway XR

Wedges: Vokey 50*, 54*, 58*
Putter: Scotty Newport Studio

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
