DIY Easy Indoor Outdoor Golf Net @ $100 bucks

I spent $80 on a Hank Haney net that fell apart after 2 weeks. Besides that, when it did work, the fart of a butterfly would knock it over even though it was staked down.

I came across this video when searching for DIY golf net. It's simple and relatively inexpensive.

Here's the link to the netting . An 8x10 #18 x 1" Nylon Golf Barrier Netting runs about $36 and the rope boarder that they install is another $36 + $12 shipping.

The PVC can be bought for under $30.

Where I am putting this I can anchor it pretty easily. I am gong to build this probably in the next week or so. I won't be using it inside..

I made one myself that was even cheaper and works great. I cut down 7 saplings about 6' long and made two tripods out of 6 of the saplings. The tripods look like teepee frames. I set them up about 5 ' from each other and laid the last pole across them, one end on each tripod. Then I draped some 3mm neoprene material over the horizontal cross piece. The neoprene has a fleece like layer on one side. I had the material left over from another project. I do have to make it a bit taller so I can practice short irons. The neoprene absorbs most of the energy of the ball but I suspect any heavy fabric would work.
