Have you tried it without any weight on first? Can you do pistol squats?

Are one legged squats really the best exercise to help with balance related to ankle or foot roll? Obviously works you ankle, but most of the balance in a one legged squat is likely to come from the hips. Are you incorporating any other balance related exercises?

Not really, One legged squat is a huge milestone for me. THat, the handstand pushup and the muscle up. I am curious to see if it improves my swing.

Know where you're coming from I always wanted to be able to squat on a swiss ball.

Muscle up is like a pull up with a dip thrown in, yeah?

I'd imagine your stabilising muscles will be nails once you're powering through these.

Dont expect miracles.  Keep in mind there are plenty of fatbodies on the pga tour who are probably weak as shit in the gym but who have a pretty good swing.  yes, fitness can help your golf game, but it's not the end all be all either.  Also, after doing tons of workign out, it's easy to tend to want to overswing and then you end up hitting the ball all over the course and deeper into the woods!

Jibberish......just go hit 500 balls a day...everyday working on technique, thats all the workout you need, when you can handle 500, bump it to 800, you will sleep like a rock, trust me. Right after banging 100 balls out in a row, drink some protein and feed your muscles

    • I've been putting whilst looking at the hole and it's definitely helped my distance control
    • I wonder if that is why my home course basically have no stakes now.  Not even markers.  It’s completely up to golfers to remember what is OB and hazard and how things used to be marked.     Even in tournaments, there is no marking and certain areas are played differently by different golfers who either don’t know better or use it to their advantage funny reading thru this with courses that actually have markers
    • is it though?????? "Millions of fans"?????
    • Great post, thanks for the informaiton. I try to avoid adding salt to anything I eat. I tend to add pepper on to my meals as opposed to salt. And I am trying to eat as clean on possible. On golf day, I eat 3 eggs for breakfast (pepper NO salt) and a salad for lunch, with grilled chicken thigs (pepper, garlic, no salt). I have been trying to avoid processed food, but we all slip. I also should have mentioned that the electrolyte packet calls for mixing with 16 oz of water, however I mix in 32 oz of water, so I dilute the electrolyte powder.
    • So if I read the news correctly, the PIF will not fund LIV after this season.  LIV is trying to find new funding and a number of players there are now asking about getting back to the Tour.    I am very, very concerned that Taylor Gooch will not have a place where he can make a jackass out of himself soon
