TaylorMade has offered to give away Four limited edition tour issue Driver Love head covers to our members for t he Memorial Tournament this week.

How would this head cover look in your bag?

To Enter, you must do all three of these things :

  1. Follow us on Twitter @the_sand_trap ( http://twitter.com/#!/the_sand_trap )
  2. Send a tweet @the_sand_trap with a pic or story of yourself enjoying the game with your driver (preferably a TaylorMade driver)
  3. In the tweet include the tag #DriverLove
An example of a tweet for the contest would look something like this:
@the_sand_trap Got my R11S driver tuned and hit my first par 5 in two! #DriverLove

The Sand Trap staff will decide what the four best tweets are, and those members will win the Driver Love head covers. If you do not follow @the_sand_trap or include #DriverLove in the tweet, your entry is invalid. Unique multiple entries are encouraged so long as quality remains high (and no duplicates)!

The Contest starts Saturday May 26th and will run until Midnight EST, Sunday June 3rd. So get to it and send us your pics and stories!  Also, go ahead and share your tweets with the rest of the community by posting them in this thread. Posting in this thread does not count as your entry, but some of you may have different twitter names than your TST usernames.

Well, this was a mistake.  I told the wife I thought a head cover would be an appropriate first father's day gift, and then allowed her to read over my shoulder about this contest.  While I imagine I will be disqualified for not having a picture of me enjoying my R9 TP Superdeep, I did end up with several photos like this below.

      I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
