Every year I do the same thing.  Start out doing well then fix myself into frustration.  This year I started down this path and I hit the brakes.  I got a lesson this weekend and he directed me back to where I need to be.  It seems my adjustments and corrections were incorrect.

I am going to take a few lessons and then when I am comfortable go back every few weeks for a tune up.

Key thing: if you have a good instructor, the things he fixes for you are almost always going to be "your things." People rarely switch over to needing "new things." Something else may be the top priority, but if you fix something in the first lesson, it's likely always going to need some attention.

Thanks for the tip.  Hopefully my handicap will drop by three points before it resurfaces.
