I am curious to what your favorite Indianapolis(or surrounding counties) course is. I am pretty partial to Coffin Golf Club, but the price of Thatcher is a no-brainer for a quick 9. Anyone else from Indy?

I play in Indy. My favorite course is Martinsville. I grew up playing there and always make it a point to play there as much as possible. I usually run to Sunrise for a quick 9. I can walk 9 in about an our and a half if I time it right. Shank is right down the road from my office. I've only played there once this year but I was very surprised at the condition of the course for a city course. I'm playing Tippecanoe CC Wednesday and Twin Lakes Thursday next week and Legends the 28th.

Legends is a great course!! Played there a few years back. My favorite has to be the Brickyard, just too expensive to play often.

Ironwood is pretty good. They have 3 nines (Lakes, Valley, and Ridge) and all three are solid.

I am partial to The Fort. Great track, will challenge any handicap depending on the tee box you play, and the staff is great. Plus, the package of staying at the course and playing is a great value.

I haven't lived around here very long. I still haven't made it south to Indy but I have play Meadowbrook in Anderson quite frequently, The Players Club in Muncie, and I have played Yule GC once.

I've yet to play the fort. It is on my list but I would rather play more frequently. $60 green fees make it tough. I've been told that the 2007 Zoo Book has 2 green fees for 1 coupon so I may go that route. My Golf Pass only reduced the cost to about $58 with a cart if I remember correctly. I think of myself as a connoisseur of cheap golf LOL.

Other one to play in Indy is Eagle Creek, it's a Pete Dye course and has 36 holes. Very good tracks and very scenic.
