been struggling with balance recently; especially in the wind and especially with short irons. whenever it is windy, I am tending to fall forward, basically walking fter the ball.

any suggestions to help improve balance and stability in poor conditions.

not sure if it applies entirely but you can strengthen your ankles and shin muscles. you can sit on a chair and twirl your feet in the shape of the letters of the alphabet.. you will feel some burn in your shins.

also.. stand up on one leg and balance with ur arms out, then try with no arms out, then with eyes closed... for as long as u can..really helps with balance and strengthening stablizers in your legs.

Go to the range and hit balls with both feet together, youll get better balance.

That is by far the BEST direction to be falling.

Try hitting some golf balls with your eyes closed.

Equipment, Setup, Finish, Balance, and Relax. All equal in importance and all dependent on each other. They are the cornerstones of a good golf swing.

If you feel as though your lower body isn't weak it may just be bad posture. Try standing up straight, placing a club along your back, tilting forward slightly, and adding some flex in your knees.
