If I play shafts that are too weak I fight a hook. I'd love to be able to hit a draw, but that isn't my natural ball flight.

i just recently got a new 3 wood for this very reason. i was playing a Titleist 906F4 3wood with the ys-6 regular flex shaft and was hooking everything. bought a new Titleist 910F 3 wood with the project X 8c4 stiff shaft in it and played it yesterday for the first time. what a difference. i dont know why i waited 4 years to switch to something that worked so much better.

I wouldn't say I did it intentionally. But I do notice now that I am using stiff shafts, my spread of shots tends to be tighter.

I'm sorry if this is off topic but I'd like to ask a question about shaft as well;

I'm currently using clubs that given from friend and they have different stiffness.

Regular for 4-6, Stiff for 7-P.

Is this bad?

I haven't noticed any issues....yet.

Thanks in advance.

I have a setup similar where my 5 wood is a regular and all my other clubs are stiff.  It keeps me from trying to kill the ball on a club I am not normally good at hitting (5 wood).  I would assume yours serves the same purpose you are not gonna go swinging as hard as you can on a less forgiving club (4-6 iron) because if you do the results will be very far off target.

Trying not to kill the ball is something I'm working on and not easy...

Few weeks back played great golf, I was -1 after 4 holes then got so excited and swung too hard on next Par 3.....finished with ugly triple
