Feel free to get one, but it won't be more than a novelty in any realistic sense. It's not an insult to you or anything, but I'm with Sean on this. When the best players in the world abandon the 1 iron, even those who are noted ballstrikers, blade snobs, traditionalists, and bombers, think twice about bagging it.

There are some brands of irons that do conform even though they're older; I remember reading that Mizunos always had conforming grooves. You should be able to find an MP14 or something that still has 1 irons in the set. Just be aware that it's not the most forgiving club, even the shorter irons.
