New kind of scramble for me

Just signed up for a 2 man 2 day scramble and the format is totally different from what I'm used to.

Day 1: Front 9 Modified Chapman (Had to look that one up )

Day 1: Back 9 Individual stroke play

Teams are flighted/Day 2 is on a different course

Day 2: Front 9 Four ball

Day 2: Back 9 Alternate shot

I normally play 4 man, 4 ball tournys but this looks like alot of fun. Just curious to see if others have played these types of format and what your opinions are. Thanks.

I am a little confused because you say this is a partner tournament yet day 1 back nine is an individual format. How does that fit in; how will they score that?

Personally, I like tournaments where I play my own ball the entire time (e.g. Individual stroke play, best ball) but the occasional scramble or alternate shot can be fun.

I'm not really sure, the entry form didn't specify. I'm guessing it's either low score for the hole or maybe they combine the two scores? I've never played in a scramble like this.
