Aim your clubface at the target and then set your feet.  If you set your feet first and then your clubface you will likely be off.  If you have trouble aligning your club to the target, stand behind the ball and see your line.  Then pick a spot on the ground (just in front of your ball) that is online with the target and setup to that.  Also it helps to use clubs/sticks for alignment when you practice.  Gets you used to being properly aligned.

there is probably a reason why you are not aiming towards the target - I doubt it is your ability to aim. It is most likely a subconscious attempt to compensate for something, like a poor path or clubface pattern.

But anyway - just occasionally check on the range. Set up to the ball, get comfortable, then put the club on your feet line and walk back and see. If your are miles off, then try and get it back within parameters. But if it is a little off, then leave it (unless you are hitting the ball where you are aiming it.

remember, Trevino aimed wildly left, Snead, hogan and many others aimed to the right largely. some players like Bubba Watson chnage it every shot. Its more important where the path and face is going. Work on controlling the ball, and your alignment will get better. And if it doesnt, who cares, you can now control the ball.

    • Day 23 - Back to full swing work, trying to swing loose and feel the club head.
    • Yet here we are. I don’t disagree that we should expect spectators to behave on any event, not just The Masters, but that’s not the case. There’s a sea of phones out there on any other event and a lot more incidents with spectators. Why shouldn’t we praise decent behaviour when it is often lacking in these days? There are plenty of golf related events to write negative articles about. I like when there is positivity to write about instead. Not that I expect them to behave at any other event like they do at Augusta just because it gets praise, but it’s nice to see positive spin on things. There are more than enough articles about rowdy spectators and cheating players. I think you nailed it in the first line: “grumpy old man”. 😉
    • Day 275: mirror work for a bit while watching TV. Working on cleaning up a few things in my lower body stuff.
    • Yeah, I take your point. Perhaps you've just identified the other side of the same coin: maybe there is very little to celebrate about pro golfers as people, so the golf media are clutching at straws trying to find something.
    • Go ahead and name three things that, in the world of golf, have been more praise-worthy in the last three months. I'll wait. It's not like they got Congressional medals or something.
