I tend to draw the ball - I have a very strong grip. I also hold onto the thing like there's no tomorrow. My misses, however, tend to become duck-hooks.

Short game is for old men!

Cheers Brotha! I rock it off the tee and always wait for the others to catch up.

haha I know that feeling, im "consistently" around 275-335 (not sure how consistent that is). But yea with the draw you can't really slow down, but even people that hit it about 170 with a driver can still draw the ball, its all about imparting the right spin on the ball. Its just more noticable with a 300 yard drive, lol.

The best is when you rock a drive and your playing partner duffs his 2nd shot and he is hitting 3 and you still have addressed your ball since the drive.

But then when your partner is standing on the green for 20 minutes while you are hitting your 6th out of the trap, it all catches up.

They might have to catch up on their second and third shots but then they are holding the flag while i'm last to putt. I'm working on that.

Ok, hit the range today and good stuff happened. First of all i'm alot less sore from doing bench at the gym 3 days ago and now with the golf. I'm still having good results hitting fades and draws with the irons. Tried the driver and started off bad but eventually I got it down. Only thing I feel is because I'm closing my stance I don't feel like I'm getting the same distance as with my regular stance. It is a shot I'm happy to have though. Gonna work on the high cut now.

    • Day 58: night putting session for about an hour. Started with lag putting and ended with putts inside 9’. I need to work on putts from 6-12’, but in a solid spot overall.
    • Birdied a different #6 today (incidentally, also a par-5, but not the same one on which I previously birdied).  Here's the funny thing though:  it's the par-5 that caused me to post my "how do I avoid bogeys?" on par-5s recently.  So I guess I still haven't parred that hole.
    • Day 20, May 24.  Played 18 today, very poor ball driving.  One GIR, and it was a 4-wood from the rough.  Several other instances of hitting a green on a full swing (and at least one full swing motion -- a 50% UW) that wasn't for GIR.   Still shot an 87 and even had a birdie (chip-in).
    • Welcome to TST.  I spent a bit of time in the UK but I had to look up Wagon Wheels.  Don't think I ever saw them.  Had to Google to see.  Couple similar items in US but Google says they are different. 😁
    • Day 264 5-24 Worked on getting chest through and arms down infront of chest. Contact isn't great yet but on video looking better.
