Hey guys, I've recently been playing ok, hitting a nice little draw. However today I hit a few pull hooks, I thought I was coming ott but my divots were facing right. What causes the pull hook and how can i fix it?

Swinging too in to out. Some theories for you to consider: You're extremely laid off on your downswing. Check out Ricky fowler's backswing. It's an anti-stuck movement. Hand path goes inward but the clubhead stays outside his hands. He uses much less forearm roll in the takeaway. The club's shaft will be much steeper as a result when your left arm is parallel with the ground on the backswing (P3/A3). If you have a camera, check where your club is when it's parallel to the ground on the downswing (P6/A6). The butt of the handle is almost certainly pointed to the right of your intended target. And if it's not that, make sure your lower body is initiating the downswing with a lateral hip slide. Over rotating your shoulders when the club is also stuck behind you just makes the pull hook or block just that much more awful, frustrating and unplayable.

Also, be honest with yourself over how hard you're swinging when you hit the pull hook vs. when you hit the nice draw. Swinging too hard usually activates the shoulders too much. A smoother tempo could be a nice quick fix for the problem.

Sorry for three in a row here, but per your divots, I'm assuming those where fatted shots #ball flight laws

Yes some were fatted and went left, but some were struck really nicely and still went left, I think your right about my tempo, it only really happens under pressure when I maybe get a bit fast. Cheers
