I was playing last week (Sunday) when on the 15th hole, par 5, right after I made contact (driver) I felt a pinch in my left arm.  It's that muscle that forms between the top forearm and tricep.  It got very sore and I managed to finish the round. It got better the next day and everyday after that and was feeling perfect, normal today..until today, Thursday, when I took that first drive again and felt the same pinch.  However, it wasn't as bad and I was able to finish the round..but arm is sore again (but much less than the first time)and have been using a compression sleeve.

It's not like I started playing right..been playing everyweek..just all of a sudden.

Anybody else been through this?  I plan on laying off of golf for a week to see....

No idea what it is but you better start using ice on it for twenty minute intervals at least three times a day (with an hour break in between) for the next 72 hours. It accelerates the healing process, whatever it is. And it's obviously not serious or else you'd be at the doctor right now. Ice is so key to reducing inflammation and preventing overuse injuries, which it sounds like this is. If you are so concerned about this though you know what you've gotta do: doctor's appointment. Also, I think the part you may be referring to is a tendon, not a muscle. I'd get some ice on that and then wrap it in ace bandage or putting the compression sleeve back on right after icing. The elbow (and left wrist) can be easily tweaked hitting it fat a few too many times off mats if you're doing that, but it sounds like you are playing quite often, so this is a reasonable result hitting off mats or not. Ice, rest, compression. Anti-inflammatories if you got 'em and are okay using those. In the current state it's in you likely need a couple weeks off, but only you and your doctor can know that for sure. Start using ice though at the very first sign of a tweak. Do not wait a day to do anything about it. You'll reduce recovery time significantly. For this injury though, it's a little late for that, but you can still benefit from treating it.

It already feels better, just a tad sore..yes, I'll ice it tonight.  I agree, going to lay off of it for a bit but better safe than sorry.

    • Oh man. As you can see above, Manavian mocked me for not realizing they were getting the 130° from BOTH shoulders. Apparently, though, Manavian is also wrong, as Andy said I was lying when I cited what Manavian had written: The next thing Andy says that's both accurate and clearly stated will be the first. I replied to that post with something like: Tell Manavian who said "only counting the abduction/adduction of one shoulder rather than 2." One of the issues with “bad” information is that y’all can’t even get on the same page. You've not shown that Bryson has 130° range of motion in either shoulder separately P1 to P7. I’ve shown the numbers. You’ve name-called and just said “nuh uh” repeatedly. Did you see the AMG IG video? Of course you have. Wrapping your head around the distance the shoulder travels yet, Andy? Andy later commented to explain how he got his range of motion number (apologies to whoever @iacac and @icaca are on Instagram, who are going to be wondering just what in the hell they've gotten themselves into). Oh boy. Adding the numbers in one direction and then adding them again going back is not a "range" of motion. If I can bend my knees 140°, I don't claim to have 280° range of motion because I have two knees nor because I can also extend my knees 140° after bending them. Bryson (with a driver, again — I used his iron swing) abducts about 65° (and bends his elbow a ton) with the driver. Then he adducts 50… and then another 15°… to end up right back where he started. This is exactly the equivalent of saying that I bend my knees 140° and then straighten them, creating a range of 280°. It's so silly I don't even have much of a response. It falls down completely on its own. It doesn't need even a nudge.
    • Can't remember who but some wise guy said "Arms up, body around"..😉. Anywho, been working on pinning my lead arm less and less to my chest in the BS. Decent progress with the arms, need a lot of work and trust for the 'body around' part.
