Any of you ever had a chance to play a Pro course?

Bethpage Black, Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, TPC Tampa Bay, Innisbrook Copperhead, not to mention the Water Gap Country Club which held the Eastern Open from 1926 to 1928! But as someone noted above, these courses are in NO WAY similar to what the pros play when those events are held there. Fairways are half as wide, rough twice as deep and greens twice as fast. And tee boxes are as much as 100 yds further back. I've shot 80 at Black, 74 at TPC, 82 at Pebble and Spyglass, and a 76 at Copperhead. Put it into "tour" shape and there isn't a chance I'd shoot those numbers. Oh, and as for the Water Gap CC, I shot a 77:-D

We played the TPC Woodlands in Texas the day after the big Shell Open tournament (I know this was several years ago) but it was great. Very hard and our scores were awful. The "rough" is actually rough compared to some local courses. Need to stay in the fairway on a TPC course.
