Does anyone remember seeing the documentary where the old women in the Outback were chasing feral cats and clubbing them over the head to bring back and eat for dinner? I was telling someone about it, but I can't remember the name of the doc. Can't seem to find it with the googleizer and I want to show it to a friend.

In a country with 100 million sheep and 25 million kangaroos, they chase feral cats? Possible I suppose.

Apparently, feral cats are a huge problem. These older women, 65-80 or so, grab a burlap bag and a big stick. They find a cat hiding by a bush and whack the bush. Cat goes screaming to another bush. Woman walks over and whacks that bush. Cat runs again. After three or four runs, the cat, built for speed, not endurance, can't run anymore. Old woman whacks cat on head and stuffs it in the bag. Rinse and repeat. After they've caught however many, they take the cats back and cook them on a spit over an open fire. The show was something like NG, but I can't find the darn thing. If anyone recalls, i'd appreciate it.

all I found was this bbc report from 2007: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/6974687.stm

Thanks. I'll keep looking for the doc, too. It was actually very interesting. The cat thing was just a small part in a segment.
