I was playing mini-putt with my kid today, and since the clubs they give you can be played from either side, I tried to putt leftie, which is my dominant side anyway. Well guess what: it feels a lot better that on the golf course where I putt right-handed. My left eye is dominant too, so sighting the putt like this makes much more sense. I'm not yet ready to go totally left-handed yet, but I'll definitely go get a leftie putter. Anybody else here putting from the other side?

Not I, but I can say that I play hockey leftie. Whatever helps you cut strokes.

I've always thought we play golf backwards.  A right handed golfer will stand on the left side of the ball and use his left hand as the dominant hand throughout the swing.  A strong shot goes left, a draw goes left.  Are we doing it wrong?  My strong hand in putting is my right.  I think maybe I should be playing lefty and putting righty.

I play both right and left handed but I only putt right handed because it took me so long to develop a feel for putting right handed.  When I switched to lefty it only took me about two months to develop a reasonable game and break 80 but it would have probably taken me 2 years to learn how to putt lefty.  What's funny is that most people don't even notice it unless one of my friends brings it up.

It's been done at tour level. Mac O'Grady, I believe and maybe some others.

Johnny Miller was a natural lefty and I think I remember him saying he wished he'd putted lefty.

I'm left eyed and messed around a bit hoping I could see the line better but never got anywhere.

    • Has Scottie been losing his footing on shots today or is this something he does regularly?
    • How many times does Cameron Young get his big misses to kick out into the fairway this week? Burns at #2:  his second was a penalty (unplayable), punched out, missed his fourth long.   (I asked earlier and now I know, so I'm posting in case anyone else had the question)
    • I was watching a Tiger highlight reel earlier today;  all his eagles at the Masters (all were at par-5s, except one at #14). That and this got me to thinking, what would a Sergio Garcia career highlight reel consist of?  Destroyed tee boxes, damaged tee markers, yelling at rules officials, and spitting in at least one cup. I didn't see Sam Burns's second through fourth shots at #2.  How did he end up off the green for his fifth?
    • Would he be the first winner of the Masters to be banned from Augusta!  Also, come on Sergio, you are a 46 year old over the hill golfer. Go get your Saudi paycheck and chill. You are not that good anymore to get that upset. Go enjoy your "retirement" in LIV.
    • I think this is what you are talking about him doing? Close enough? It could have changed a bit, or maybe he added an extra piece to it, so it might not look exactly the same as this.  Note, this is from 5 years ago, so it is something is just has to always do.
