I've been playing golf for: 2,5 years

My current handicap index or average score is: Well, my current hcp is 5,5. The thing is that it's way to unstable! I can shoot anywhere between 75-95 depending on the day. However, I'm usually around the 82-85 score.

My typical ball flight is : it's usually a straight ball flight with a slight tendency to a draw or a fade depending on the day. But for the last couple of days I've been either hitting a pull or a slight fade.'

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: I want to reduce my fade, and get the draw as my main stroke. But not like Matt Kuchar, if that makes sense..

Hey,guys!

So basically this is my first post on this forum, and I wanted to start out in this section

I'm a 16 year old boy from Norway and I've been training systematically to get where I am today.

I would've loved if you guys could check out my swing and give me some input on it. I really think that could get my game to another level!

Unfortunately I had some problems slowing the videos down, because the app couldn't do it by itself. However, I hope this doesn't lead to any problems :)!

Thanks !

Nice swing but I noticed one thing, look at your left leg compared to charlie wii in that position.

First of all thanks for the input, Nevrino! Really means alot!

You mean the extension in the left leg? If that's the case, should I try "holding" my left knee a somewhat more flexed position in impact?

I'm not gonna guess, that's why I didn't write what to do in the first place. I hope someone else can come in and explain.

Hey again,guys!

The last week I've been trying to get my swing more on plane, and it seems that I'm starting to get somewhere!

However, in this video I believe that I'm a bit closed in my takeway, is this a problem? I also notice that my left arm is not really stretched/tensed enough at the top of my backswing. Do you guys agree

If you guys have some "new" input to give me, I would love that!

I also apologize that I didn't get the Face-on, but I totally forgot!

    • Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.
    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
