Looking to shorten my swing as when I swing the club normally I always rise up out of my inclination. Have the thought of TA3 or Nick Price as a model but was wondering if anyone on here has any hints or things they went through when trying to make this change. My game has been so up and down this year that I am hoping this change goes a long way to helping things as misses have been all over the place.

Use video.  You'll feel like you're shortening it when you're not.  If you use video you should be able to fix that pretty quickly.

I also like to try to feel like I'm really stretching my left arm far to the right (back).

Look up "Extensor Action" (think it originates from the TGM guys) it will definitely shorten your swing up, with the added benefit of ensuring a FLW and good extension past impact. It will probably feel pretty odd on the left wrist when you start but stick with it.

    • Has Scottie been losing his footing on shots today or is this something he does regularly?
    • How many times does Cameron Young get his big misses to kick out into the fairway this week? Burns at #2:  his second was a penalty (unplayable), punched out, missed his fourth long.   (I asked earlier and now I know, so I'm posting in case anyone else had the question)
    • I was watching a Tiger highlight reel earlier today;  all his eagles at the Masters (all were at par-5s, except one at #14). That and this got me to thinking, what would a Sergio Garcia career highlight reel consist of?  Destroyed tee boxes, damaged tee markers, yelling at rules officials, and spitting in at least one cup. I didn't see Sam Burns's second through fourth shots at #2.  How did he end up off the green for his fifth?
    • Would he be the first winner of the Masters to be banned from Augusta!  Also, come on Sergio, you are a 46 year old over the hill golfer. Go get your Saudi paycheck and chill. You are not that good anymore to get that upset. Go enjoy your "retirement" in LIV.
    • I think this is what you are talking about him doing? Close enough? It could have changed a bit, or maybe he added an extra piece to it, so it might not look exactly the same as this.  Note, this is from 5 years ago, so it is something is just has to always do.
