I was at the national championship game in 2010 when Bama won it all. We had so much fun that week with all the Texas fans. It was such a blast. I wish we could get a home and home series with you guys.

Tyrann Mathieu has been kicked off the team. Supposedly because of multiple failed drug tests.

In the long run, this may benefit LSU. If it was Eric Reid, that'd be one thing, but this guy is just an OK cover corner. He does some good things in space, but he's not a go to lockdown guy.

But he was a cancer. He ran his mouth on twitter this summer, got suspended in the middle of the year last year...and cost Trent Richardson a ton of heisman votes.

In all honesty, y'all are probably better off without him.  He made splash plays against teams that played fast and loose with the ball, but he was a liability in coverage.

Cornhusker, can beat everyone but Michigan State on their schedule, defense will be improved, offensive line is only average. 10-3 or 9-4 seems reasonable.

Alabama's offensive line is living up to the hype.  Alabama's running backs racked up 172 yards before contact.  That means that they were an average of four and a half yards past the line of scrimmage before Michigan's defense laid a hand on them.  Speaking of running backs, T.J. Yeldon is the real deal.  It's going to be a very good year.

I'm a Vols fan as well but I'm not going to jump on them being back just yet.  It was NC State.  But they did execute very well.  And it doesn't look like Rogers will be missed either.  Patterson was putting on a show in the first half.

I don't know which is funnier... Auburn losing to Mississippi State by eighteen or Arkansas losing to ULM in overtime.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
