The R11s have more distance compared to the AP2s because the R11s are strong lofted 3 degrees! You should hit your 8 iron AP2 about as far as your R11 9 iron because they are near the same loft.

To be honnest i am a Taylormade guy. Right now by bag is all TM. But i ordered new irons already as a TM guy i thought i would get the new tour preferred mb irons. ( right now i have the old tour preferred irons ) I had a go with them and didn't like the feel at all, went further with cobra amp forged and titleist apt 712. all didn't feel great. Than i hit mizuno first MP 69 later MP 59 i was sold straight away. The feel is so great. Think no other iron brand is going in my bag.
