  1. 1. Keep a spare driver?

    • No need, I can only hit one at a time
      2
    • Hell yes. Anything in case of loss
      1
    • Maybe but I could just use my 3 wood
      2
    • I like to keep a full second set ready for action
      3
    • Hell yes. Get the same one or something very similar.
      3
    • Who cares. You can still play with what you have.

Does anyone keep a spare driver around for breakage etc. I know a lot of guys on here have multiple ones because they buy often but I just picked up a new one a month ago and this one makes my old one look like somebody's used tissues.

Anyone have to use their "spare"? I have a hard time keeping stuff I don't think I would ever use but don't want to be without a driver if there was a situation of sorts. I could sell this one and find a more suitable back up. I do have an old 300TI TM for emergencies I suppose.

Please weigh in if you have an opinion or what you do.

Well, I voted for full set, which I have, but as far as the driver I usually always keep a second driver and sometimes a 3rd. Not because of breakage but if I start hitting the driver bad I'll swap for a couple of rounds. Right now I've got 2 and one on the way.

Can't really vote. I've got enough old clubs around to open a golf shop, but it's not so I have a replacement available if I break something. I'll sometimes put a putter in time out, and if I broke my driver, I'd use an old one until it was repaired or replaced, but I don't keep spares around just in case......

I keep the previous set, not so much as a backup, but more as the set my son will play.  Obvious a driver from 4 or 5 years ago is outdated, but I could use it in a pinch until my current driver was fixed.

I have 2 sets but only because I travel for work and keep one set at work and the other set at home. The set at work are just my old clubs I've replaced over the years.

I trade-in or sell my old drivers on Ebay when I get a new one.  If I break a driver, I simply go to the golf shop and buy a new one or I hit my 3-wood until I can afford a new one.

Are you kidding, think I'm up to half dozen.  I buy 9015D's for $50 and throw different cheap shafts in them, love those drivers.  I actually built an exact replica of my favorite one (9.5* with Harrison Saga 70S) in case I ever break mine, heads and that shaft aren't going to be around forever so wanted to have an exact spare.  I have a G15 setup as my "crappy swing" driver as it's very forgiving.  Have the i15 as well when I'm swinging well and want to try to hit some bombs, not forgiving but it's hellacious long.

Well if you count keeping old drivers in my storage room/ golf room then yes.  I have an old Callaway FT-5 in my basement as a backup incase of breakage or it's in for repairs. I used to have an R9 SuperTRI TP aswell but sold it.
