Has anyone seen the drill that AK does where he takes the club back about waist high and checks if its in the right position then simply turns back and trhough? My pro gave me a very similar drill that I always worked on and I would like to go back to it because I have been swinging too flat now possibly too upright to compensate this.

To do this drill you have to have a good take away stopping parallel to the ground and above your toe line, clubface should by square.  Next hinge wrists so butt of club points to the ball putting it on perfect plane your left arm should be parrallel to ground.  I believe this is where AK takes his drill to? So basically do those first two moves in one like AK then turn back and through?

This isn't Anthony Kim... But I believe it is what you are talking about?  Basically it is called a 'Preset Drill' which will help you check your alignment at A2 (club shaft parallel to the ground).

I've also seen hybrid pre-set drills where you go to A4 (top of the backswing) - which gets your clubface nice and square at the top.

Here is a derivative of the Faldo drill.

And then finally... The downsing or pump drill to help with lag and extensor action.

This is the drill he does here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Stwogdbndu4 but he doesn't go in to much detail about it which is why he does it he wants his swing to be simple like me.  He does this often even before he hits shots in competition.  I will do it to the about half way point and check that the butt of my club is pointing to the ball that way I know im on plane, then all I would have to do is turn back and through, I just wonder if this is what AK does.  I also like to take it to the half way point/end of takeway and stop there and check.

Yes, we want to make sure we hit that spot everytime, i think thats the reason why Ricky Fowler doesn't play good golf, oh wait he does

    • I agree with @dennyjones, a suspension of some meaningful duration would be better than getting bounced from the Tour. They might consider experimenting each week. It might generate a bit of interest. I like the idea of a visible shot clock. If a player and their caddy can’t decide on a strategy and pull the trigger in XX seconds (30? 45? 60?), one stroke penalty. Give each player 2 resets a round. The clock starts when the last player to hit’s ball stops moving. Other pace ideas could be used every couple events until a consensus is reached to adopt or ditch an idea.
