Hey all,

I have been working a lot on my backswing since my golf instructor slapped me across the face and called me a dumb hacker for being under-plane(we have a strange working relationship).

Using his drill, I have fixed my backswing so that I am over the plane going back.  I am not happy with the fact that I start to go above plane immediately on the take-away but I am working on that.

In my videos, I draw the shaft plane line and the shoulder plane line and am very pleased with the takeaway starting at the shaft line and going up to the shoulder line - BUT - my club shaft is laid off at this point.  ie - it is not on that shoulder plane line - my hands are but the shaft is dipping below it (but still well above the shaft plane line).

I have really tried to focus on this and get it right but, in every video, there I am laid off at the top of the backswing.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

I am also trying to find a way to trace the shaft plane line exactly until the club is parallel to the ground before I start to go above it but feel like this is probably less important . . but I'd also love some tips on that, too, since I cant seem to get that right, either.

Thanks in advance!
