I've seen at least two threads now with you bragging about how you nut your 3 iron 230 yards down the middle every time. That seems odd given your handicap.

(As I've said in other places, I rack up a lot of putts per round. 40 is good. 43-45 is average. You get the idea.)

"Shouldn't you be going faster? I mean, you're doing 40 in a 65..."

If you're hitting 3 irons 230 yards down the middle every time, you should be hitting short irons and wedges pretty close. Even with your 43-45 putts per round, your tee to green game still needs a lot of work given your stated handicap. Exagerrating your iron game, particularly your 3-iron prowess doesn't do anyone in this forum any good. Most of us are trying to get better and decide on how to spend our moneys with the help of each other's advice. Hopefully, some of the higher handicappers don't buy into your big bag of bullsh*t.

Please drop it. Most everyone else has figured out for themselves whether to believe lamebums or not. It seems you have as well. Let's leave it at that.

I'm desperately in need of a new hybrid. Right now I have $110, but my dad says he'll pay for some of it. The most we'd be willing to spend is about $150, or so. These are the hybrids I was looking at:

do you have a Golf Galaxy near you?

Go there and take a look at the dozens of used ones that have been traded in and take a few swipes in the simulater

Yeah.. I'm still new at golfing, so I can hit my 3 iron about 125 or so, but it's my best club in terms of accuracy (other than my driver).

As a testament to my hybrids, check out my handicap can consider that I can regularly hit my 3hybrid over 200 yards... Of course sometimes its 25 yards of crap.. but the hybrid is a major confidence club.

In fact is there anything good enough to replace a 3wood in your bag?
