Hello,

I just started playing golf so I'm really not very good.  I have an inherited set of Callaways from a friend and have been using those for a couple of years.  Yesterday, a friend of mine who is a 3 handicap, won a couple of drivers at a corporate event and gave me one of the drivers.

I was using a Callaway Big Bertha with stiff shaft and 11 degree loft.  The new driver that was given to me is a Ping Anser with regular shaft and 9.5 degree loft.  From the research I've done, it seems that a regular shaft is better for a beginner but a 10.5 degree loft would have been better for a beginner.  So I'm wondering if I should try to exchange the driver for a regular shaft with 10.5 degree loft.  Part of me things I suck enough that I won't even notice a difference.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

The Anser is adjustable to 10˚ I believe. As long as it's a regular shaft there's little difference between 10 and 10.5.
