Apart from driver and putter I have a 3 wood 3 rescue and 5-sw irons, that else am I missing to get my game to new heights, any advice will be most appreciated Cheers

I just picked up a new 60deg Taylor made ATV wedge yesterday to help my close to the green game and it was quite different using it as apposed to my pw or 7 iron for small chips, it gets nice and high and heaps of spin, even managed to chip a couple into the cup from about 10-15 feet out I was wrapped, I didn't even know what a flop wedge was until 2 days ago, lol what a newbie

Do you have a PW and SW / or a PW, GW, SW?

Do your wedges match your iron set?

Consider hitting the 3W, 3rescue and 5i to see what the distance gaps are. You might add a 4rescue.

Or, if you're new to the game, you could just play with what you have for awhile and see where in the bag you might need help. Eleven clubs is plenty when you're starting out.

My new wedge is a different brand to my irons. The set was a cheap one to get me started, they are tour specials, but the driver f/w, hybrid and wedge are Taylor made, I've been told to use the irons that i have as other ones won't make that much difference, but I wonder about the quality sets and mine and the difference between them. I have lessons booked with one today
